Vale Bishop James Grant AM (TC 1950) - 11 July 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop James Grant AM, an alumnus, former employee and leader, and one of Trinity’s closest friends and ongoing supporters. Bishop Grant was 87 years old.

Congratulations to Kay Goldsworthy AO, the Bill Cowan Alum of the Year 2019

A record 350 alumni flocked to the College Oak tree on the evening of Friday 22 February 2019 for Trinity’s Drinks Under the Oak, an annual event enjoyed by Residential College alumni for seven decades. A highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Bill Cowan Alum of the Year 2019, an award that recognises an alumnus or alumna who has made an outstanding contribution to Trinity or the greater community during the previous year - and this year’s award went to Kay Goldsworthy AO, who trained in theology as a resident of Trinity from 1980 to 1983. Trinity Welcomes New Theological School Staff

Following the retirement from Trinity of two long-standing members of faculty, the Reverend Dr Cecilia Francis and the Reverend Dr Don Saines, two new staff have been appointed after a national search. The Reverend Dr Fergus King will take up the important role of Director of the Centre for Ministry Education, while Dr Rachelle Gilmour has been appointed as Lecturer in Old Testament. Appointment of New Dean of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Theological School

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP is delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Dr Robert (Bob) Derrenbacker as the next Dean of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Theological School. He will join Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in January, 2019. To read more, click on the link above. 

Trinity Tradition Continues With The Election of New Bishop of Gippsland

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP is delighted by the news that the Revd Dr Richard Treloar (TC 1988) has been elected the thirteenth Bishop of Gippsland. Richard will succeed the Most Revd Kay Goldsworthy AO (TC 1981) who is now Archbishop of Perth.

Trinity host Robin Sharwood Lecture series

In March 2018, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP hosted the inaugural Robin Sharwood Lecture in Church Law before holding another lecture in conjunction with St James' Institute on Thursday 19 April 2018.

Kay Goldsworthy Installed As Archbishop of Perth

On Saturday, 10 February 2018, the Rt Revd Goldsworthy (TC 1981) was installed as the 8th Archbishop of Perth. 

Trinity Appoints New Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr Scott Kirkland has been appointed as inaugural Postdoctoral Fellow for the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Theological School commencing in February 2018.

Bishop James Grant to Retire - November 2017

It is rare to find a person that embodies an institution, but for many, Bishop James Grant (TC 1950), is synonymous with what it means to live, study or work at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP. At the end of November 2017, Bishop farewelled Trinity after seven decades of service.

Chapel Centenary Sermon

Last Saturday 25 November, over 250 guests gathered for a Choral Eucharist to celebrate the centenary of the Chapel.
